The University of Oregon was concerned with the exposure to pathogens that their staff and students were experiencing. They put ActivePure to the test. The primary mission of the test was to demonstrate efficacy by proxy in inactivating enveloped viruses such as SARs-CoV-2 and the flu.
FUNGAL REDUCTION
Testing results showed an average reduction of 75.66% in fungal colony forming units with the use of ActivePure in locker rooms.
TOTAL REDUCTION
Testing results showed an overall reduction of 63.16% in bacterial and fungal colony forming units with the use of ActivePure in locker rooms.
Why was the test run on fungi and bacteria?
According to the heirarchy of pathogens: bacteria and fungi are both harder to inactivate than an enveloped virus like SARS- CoV-2. * They are also easier to measure. By running this test on microorganisms that are more resistant, we can verify how powerful ActivePure is against pathogens like enveloped viruses.

When was testing conducted?
Environment air testing was conducted on October 14th, 2021. The ActivePure portable and in-duct units were installed on October 15th, 2021. Re-testing was performed on November 4th, 2021.
